About the Program

BATTERI is a paid, 10-week summer program designed to prepare diverse STEM undergraduate students for careers in advanced battery manufacturing. It is located in the newly renovated Battery Cell R&D Center within Ohio State’s Institute for Materials and Manufacturing Research (IMR). Through a blend of innovative learning practices and real-world experiences, BATTERI is your gateway to the future of clean energy and sustainable technology. 

BATTERI Evaluation Activities

  • This survey is designed to evaluate students’ learning outcomes and the development in innovation capacity. This activity requires about 20 minutes to fill out the survey,

  • This activity requires trainees to meet with research team individually for 30 minutes. During this interview, trainees will share their experience and perspectives of this program and their reflection on their personal and professional development

  • Once the program is completed, trainees need to fill out the survey again in order for research team to measure changes through collecting same questions at two time points. This activity will take 20 minutes for trainees to complete.

  • After a year in academic, trainees will be invited to a small group to share out their reflection on how this program support / hinder their professional development.
